Etnograficheskoe Obozrenie publishes both solicited and unsolicited book reviews. All unsolicited reviews go through the same general peer review process as the rest of the materials submitted to the journal. Those wishing to submit an uninvited book review should familiarize themselves both with the general guidelines for submission of materials and specific guidelines concerning book reviews. Although authors are encouraged to contact one of the editors prior to the submission of reviews, this is not mandatory. It is expected that reviews adhere to a mature scholarly style in which a balance is kept between description and critical evaluation. Interesting reviews of interesting works are always welcome!

Submitting books for review in the journal

Books for review should be sent to the attention of the Editor-in-Chief at the editorial office address. A short memo specifying the purpose of sending the book should accompany the book.
